Battle of the Bands Contest

OFFICIAL ENTRY RULES:

The 80s Cruise Year 7 sails from Los Angeles to Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta from March 3-10, 2023.*

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

PERMISSION: By entering, permission is granted to Entertainment Cruise Productions and The 80s Cruise to use all submitted material and content for marketing purposes.

CONTEST RULES: The contest is open to all entrants at least 21 years of age or older who are legal residents of the United States – valid passports required. At this time, Royal Caribbean requires that all passengers on their cruise ships are fully vaccinated with supporting documents and agree to COVID-19 testing.

The prize is not redeemable in cash, must be accepted as awarded, and is non-transferable.

Entertainment Cruise Production’s verification of the winner selected by public vote is final. No substitutions will be available.

Winners’ names and all material and content submitted as part of the entry and contest process may be used by The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions. By entering, winner and guest consent to use of names and likenesses for promotional purpose without additional compensation.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Winners and their guests must sign a release form provided by The 80s Cruise / Entertainment Cruise Productions acknowledging, in part, their acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules and restrictions. The contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.

Prize includes $20,000 PLUS up to 6 cabins (maximum capacity: 2 adults/cabin) aboard The 80s Cruise 2023, meals on the ship (excluding specialty dining, etc.), all shows, and events open to the cruising public, and transportation to and from the port of embarkation or disembarkation, ground transportation, port charges, taxes and gratuities. Winner is responsible for all on-board purchases and excursions during the cruise.

One entry per band.

The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions are not responsible for lost, misdirected or undelivered entries or emails. Winner will be determined by public voting and will be notified by email, and/or telephone and/or email as provided on the official entry form. Winners will have seven (7) days to respond to the notification. If the prize is not claimed within seven (7) days of notification, another winner may be selected. A single prize of a cruise (as described above and below) will be awarded no later than December 1, 2022.

Submissions MUST be received by midnight EST on October 26, 2022, to be considered eligible.

This contest is not open to employees of The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions and their immediate families.

PRIZE: One prize will be awarded. Prize consists of up to 6 interior cabins for band members listed on the official entry form on The 80s Cruise 2023 which sails from March 3-10, 2023. ­­Prize includes access to mainstage performances, interviews, parties and events presented on the cruise, all meals, 24-Hour Room service (excluding $7.95 delivery surcharge), non-bottled beverages (i.e. coffee, juices, tea), fitness center, pools, hot tubs, sauna, In room TV and movies (excluding pay-per-view movies), full service room cleaning (twice a day). Prize also includes transportation for all persons listed on the entry form to and from Los Angeles, where the cruise departs from, hotel stays for the night before the cruise up to 6 total rooms and ground transportation. In addition, prize does not include dining in the specialty restaurants, personal expenses such as photos, souvenirs & excursions, soft drinks and bottled water, alcoholic beverages, specialty coffee drinks, gambling, travel insurance, personal training sessions or spa services. Prize also includes marketing and promotion via The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Production owned media, such as newsletter, website and social media channels. Winner is not responsible for gratuities, taxes and port charges (estimated at $300 per passenger). All passport and visa regulations are to be met by the winner in advance of the cruise. Winner must be 21 years or older at the time of sailing. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize is $30,000 Dollars ($30,000). If winner cannot travel during the designated period, they must forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected. Certain restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. No prize substitution or assignment or transfer of prizes is permitted. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. All federal, state, local and other taxes, costs and expenses relating to the use, acceptance and possession of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Actual retail value of prizes depends upon fares at time of departure, among other things. By entering, you are agreeing to receive future email communication from The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions, which may include periodic updates and special offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

PERFORMANCE COMMITMENT: Winners will be required to bring all personal guitars and equipment needed for live performance. Entertainment Cruise Productions to supply all backline, PA and lighting. Winners will perform a minimum of 2 shows during the cruise, to be scheduled as agreed between performers and Entertainment Cruise Productions. Each performance should run a minimum of 60 minutes. A set list must be provided to The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions by January 1, 2023. The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions reserves the right to prohibit certain songs that may be deemed inappropriate or offensive.

MORALS CLAUSE: Neither the contest winners, their representatives, their guests nor their key personnel shall commit any act or do anything which might reasonably be considered: (i) to be immoral, deceptive, scandalous or obscene; or (ii) to injure, tarnish, damage or otherwise negatively affect the community and/or the reputation and goodwill associated with The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions. If the contest winners, their representatives, their guests or their key personnel is accused of any act involving moral or ethical issues, dishonestly, theft or misappropriation, under any law, or any act which casts an unfavorable light upon its association with the community and/or The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions or the winners are accused of performing or committing any act which could adversely impact the events, programs, services, or reputation of The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions, The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions shall have the right to revoke the Prize award upon five (5) days written notice specifying the reasons for the revocation. In such instance, the Winner(s) and guests agree to release The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions from any and all liability, and waive their rights to bring any action against The 80s Cruise and Entertainment Cruise Productions as a result of the revocation of the Prize award.
